The Foundation DKM \u2013 the name is formed from the initials of the founders Dirk Kr\u00e4mer and Klaus Maas \u2013 was established on February 17, 1999. The Foundation DKM disposes over the artworks from the Collection DKM which are exhibited in the museum. It promotes the realization of new works of art for display in either the gallery or the museum. The Foundation has moreover made works by Ernst Hermanns, Richard Long, Ulrich R\u00fcckriem, Richard Serra and Raimund van Well available on permanent loan to the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Foundation DKM<\/strong>\u00a0additionally encompasses four sub-foundations:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The\u00a0Ernst Herrmann Archive Foundation<\/b>, established in 2001, is located under the roof of the Museum. It encompasses more than one third of his oeuvre, manages the artist\u2019s estate and is preparing the revised catalogue raisonn\u00e9.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The\u00a0Foundation Ulrich R\u00fcckriem \u2013 five rooms<\/b>, also from 2001, contains 37 sculptures conceived by the artist as a suite of five room ensembles for which he designed exhibition courtyards in association with the architect Hans Rohr.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The\u00a0Ulrich R\u00fcckriem Museum Foundation<\/b>, established in 2002, has made parts of his sculptural oeuvre available to selected museums on permanent loan.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The\u00a0Ulrich R\u00fcckriem Sinsteden Foundation<\/b>\u00a0has also been in existence since 2002. Since 1994, the halls at Sinsteden with indoor and outdoor sculptures has formed a self-contained work of art.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

    From 1999 to 2011 the Foundation DKM has operated the (showcase) <\/span>Gallery <\/span>DKM in the “Garden of Memories” at Duisburg\u2019s Inner Harbor, in addition to the Museum <\/span>DKM <\/span> in the town center of Duisburg since January 22, 2009.
