On the opening weekend, one in ten visitors receives free admission and as a gift an annual pass to the Museum DKM.
Following the decision of the Federal-State Conference on 3 March 2021 and the opening scenario agreed there, we are pleased to reopen the DKM Museum to our visitors from Saturday, 13 March 2021 up to an incidence of 100. We kindly ask you to register in advance by phone or e-mail, stating your contact details and specifying a desired time window.
All exhibition areas with cultural-historical exhibits and contemporary art are accessible again. They give visitors an insight into 5000 years of art and cultural history. In the new temporary exhibitions, we show two different photographic positions. In the exhibition Lucifer’s Vortex, Tom Fecht addresses the luminescence of the sea and the enormous electric discharges of the sky. The second exhibition Memory of Ulrich Tillmann. The Egyptian paintings _ Part I are dedicated to the artist, died in 2019, whose works identify him as an observer of a special kind.

Saturday, Sunday and public holidays noon – 6.00 pm
Every first Friday of the month: noon – 6.00 pm

The generally known hygiene and distance rules apply. We are required to record the personal data of our guests for temporary contact tracking and to store them for four weeks. With their visit, our visitors agree to this.
